CATCH UP TIME FOLKS!!!!!
Ok ....so this semester, I am taking sociology of violence, perception of psychology and psychopharmacology (which I have dropped). Hmmm... where do I begin... my sociology of violence course is too much busy work. Papers and discussions due every week and 4 hour (essay style) midterms and finals smh can you say exhausting?? But hey, I currently have an A in this course and the objective here is to keep the GPA above a damn 3.4 lolol! Moving on... my perception course is a 4 credit hour course and it's a lot harder than I thought it would be. I currently have a B (87%) in this course and I am trying like hell to obtain an A (like always). Oh I forgot, I dropped the psychopharmacology course because it was too much damn work. I mean hell...I'm trying to work 40 hours a week, take enough courses to keep myself on track to graduate this Fall and maintain my volunteer shifts at MTSTJ sighhhhhh. Anywho...
Overall, the semester is going alright. I'm all set to apply to medical school this May and I have decided to apply to MD and DO programs. I also started studying for the MCAT (again) two weeks ago and can you say FORGOT?? I have forgotten 50% of the information that I am currently covering with my tutor smh. Luckily, I don't plan on taking the MCAT until August 6th (results by September 8th) and if I don't do well on the test, I can retake it again on September 12th (last test date of the year).
Today is one of those days that I start to feel all medically inside. Meaning, I watch reruns of Grey's, Vanderbilt Md's and do school work. However, this time I have decided that in addition to doing school work I will write in my baby (blog) and drum roll pleassseeee....... start my personal statement. I not only started my personal statement guys, I wrote a full rough draft of my personal statement!!!!!! (Yayyyyy). Yup I sure did...I wrote the full amount of characters allotted on the AMCAS application, (5300 words including spaces) and I feel so accomplished (LOL); however, we all know that there are going to be additional rounds of writing to perfect my personal statement but hey... I'm up for the challenge.
Lastly, I have also signed up for my summer courses, which is organic chem II with Lab (4 credit hours total), leaving me with 3 courses left to take prior to graduation (praise the Lord)!!! LOL! Well I guess I'll catch up with you guys later.
