Math Student of the Semester!

Every semester the school allows the teachers to choose several students from their math classes for the student of the semester award and I was one of them. I was excited and shocked at the same time. I mean I have worked my ass off; however, so have alot of other students but hey, I'll take it. So in our honor a small award ceremony was held at the school. The night before the ceremony, I couldn't figure out what I wanted to wear and I couldn't help but to think... what are they going to give us and who will be there? Maybe the Dean of the school, will they give us a plaque, free credit hours or cash. The next day I arrived at the school and I walked into the  ceremony and it wasn't what I expected. Alot people were there and several tables were located around the room, one had information about joining the math club, one table had these black small boxes on them (Our gift), the others had a platters of food, dessert and soda. After I grabbed a couple of chicken tenders I sat down and opened the box. As I opened the box my heart was racing. I was so excited to receive my plaque (So I thought). I open the box and this is what I found...

A flash light and a measuring tape that says GPC...

 Cheap asses! My teacher then looked at me and said isn't it nice? I said it sure is...

*Side eye..LOL!
