Patients mother: Are you a doctor?

Me: No mam, I'm a volunteer with Children's Services 

Patients mother: A volunteer??

Me: Yes mam

Patients mother: You do this for free?

Me: Yes, mam, I volunteer my time...

Patients mother: (Laughing out loud!) Girlllll what's wrong with you?? Please!! I wish I would volunteer to play with somebody else's kids...I don't even wanna play with my own...

Me: (Laughing inside...not knowing if I should feel stupid or bust out laughing) Have a good night mam (As I walked away) LOL!
