KAPLAN PREP COURSE
Well...I have decided to take the KAPLAN MCAT prep course beginning in February of 2017. I'm praying that this course lives up to all the hype and it is worth the $2300.00 that I paid for it. I have also confirmed (in my mind) that I am taking the MCAT in June of 2017 so that I can apply for the 2018 cycle. As I have stated before in my previous post, I will be sitting in someones classroom come 2018. The Carribean is still an option...hell a great option at that! :)
As always thanks for reading guys!

Good luck with your Kaplan MCAT course. Last summer I did there online version and it was cool (I can only say cool because Ive never taken a course from Princeton review or any other company to actually compare the quality of their program), it def has tons of questions, 9+ full lengths and other resources. Congrats on graduating as well, stay true to dreams, detours happen to all of us but its great youre back working towards your goal!
ReplyDeleteHey Rising Doctor! Thank you so much for the information. I thought about taking it online but then I know myself... I def need the classroom setting to keep me focused and in line LOL. :) Thanks again girlie for the congrats and the kind words.
ReplyDeleteBest of luck with the course and please let us know if you think it was worth it...
ReplyDeleteDo you think the June MCAT is early enough for the cycle? I wanted to apply for the 2019 cycle but because I couldn't take the MCAT until June (I will need until Spring 2019) to complete premed coursework) I was told to wait, continue studying for the MCAT and take it the next cycle so that my application is complete come June 1 of the following year...which I of course was not excited to do. I'm 31 and the years feel like they are passing faster each year. .
Thank you my friend! I start the course this coming Wednesday and I plan on keeping you guys posted. I registered for the June 17th test. My test results will be back July 18th. If I feel that if I am ready before that date then I will move the test date up. I am applying for the 2018 cycle. I have gotten to the point that I refuse to put off applying again LOL! This year is it! LOL! If I am correct you cannot submit your application until June so I personally believe that is enough time to be considered for an interview. Secondaries also go out in June as well. I mean yes you want to submit your application as soon as possible to be considered ahead of alllll the others and because it takes 6 weeks to verify you through AMCAS but you don't want to rush taking the MCAT. To answer your other question I believe that you can apply and be accepted to medical school before you graduate college as long as you obtain your degree before you enter med school. Meaning if you get accepted for the 2018 cycle/school year then you must graduate college before med school starts in 2018. I hope this helps and good luck to you!
